Luxora

★★★★★ 4.6 Editor rating

Luxora is the game that pulled the team back together for a proper review session, and it earned the attention. It mixes classic tower defence with a light base-building layer, so between waves you're not just waiting — you're deciding which structures to unlock next. The maps are drawn cleanly, enemy routes are easy to read, and the difficulty ramps up at a pace that feels fair rather than punishing.

Controls are the highlight for us. You drag towers into place, tap to upgrade, and pinch to zoom without any fumbling. On a phone that matters a lot, and Luxora clearly designed for one hand. The tech tree gives you real choices — do you invest in slow, heavy-damage towers or a spread of cheap support ones? Both approaches work, which is rare.

Where it could improve is variety later on. Around the mid-game the enemy types start repeating, and a couple of maps feel like reskins. Even so, the core loop stayed fun for us across a full week, and the boss waves kept forcing us to rethink our layouts. It's an easy recommendation for anyone who likes tower defence with a bit of planning depth.
